Participation Schedule

Faith Resolute · Christian nonfiction Effective 29 July 2026 · Version 1.0

How this works

Publication with Faith Resolute involves one production payment, made once. The amount you choose sets your royalty rate — permanently, for the life of the book.

This schedule is published, not negotiated. Every author sees the same terms. There is no discount to ask for and no better deal available privately, which means you never have to wonder whether someone else got one.

The rule: 50% of net receipts at $3,500, less 2.5 percentage points per $250 step down. The ladder steps in $250 increments, 2.5% points per step, from $3,500 down to $500.

What "net receipts" means

Net receipts are the funds we actually receive — funds actually received by the publisher from a retail or distribution channel in respect of the work, after storefront commissions, delivery fees, wholesale discounts, returns, and print-on-demand manufacturing costs.

It is not the cover price, and it is not our gross. It is money in the bank, and your percentage is calculated on it.

What that looks like in practice:

FormatCover priceNet receiptsAt 50%At 35%At 20%
Paperback$15.00~$4.40$2.20$1.54$0.88
Ebook$9.99~$6.89$3.44$2.41$1.38

Figures vary by channel and page count. We will run your title's actual numbers before you choose a tier.

What you should know before choosing

Nothing is deferred and nothing is owed. The payment is the payment. There is no balance to repay, no advance to earn out, and no further sum payable at any time — whatever the book does.

Your rate never changes. It does not step down after a launch window, and it does not depend on hitting a sales threshold.

You keep your copyright. We take an exclusive licence to publish. If the book effectively stops selling, our exclusivity lapses and you are free to publish it elsewhere while we continue selling our edition. Full terms are in the agreement.

A lower tier is not a lesser book. The editorial work, the cover, the production standard, and the distribution are identical at every tier. The only thing that differs is the royalty rate.

Payment may be staged against production milestones. Amounts allocated to work not yet begun are refundable if you withdraw.

Waived participation

For manuscripts we believe in strongly, we waive the payment entirely and fund the title ourselves.

This is an editorial decision, we make it rarely, and it cannot be applied for. Where it applies, we will tell you.

Questions worth asking us

We would rather answer these before you sign than after. Four are answered here. The fifth needs your title's numbers, and we will run them with you.

What are the projected net receipts for my title specifically? This depends on format, page count and channel, so we do not publish a figure that would be wrong for your book. We will run your title's actual numbers before you choose a tier.

What is included in production, and what is not? The Services Schedule sets out editorial, design, identifiers and distribution in full — and states in each section what we do not provide. Nothing is left to inference.

What promotion do you actually provide, and what is mine to do? We do metadata and keywords, retail page setup, a sell sheet, a launch toolkit, and a house announcement. We do not buy advertising, book publicity or media, solicit reviews, submit for awards, or arrange tours — and we will not imply otherwise. Reaching readers is substantially your work.

How and when am I paid, and what will the statement show? Statements quarterly, within 45 days of quarter end, itemised by format and channel, showing units sold, net receipts, royalty calculation. Payment on the same schedule once your balance is above $50. You may audit those figures once per calendar year on 30 days notice.

What are the exact conditions under which rights come back to me? All four must be met:

Condition
13 Measurement Years completed
2Fewer than 10 units sold in each of 2 consecutive Measurement Years
3Author gives written notice on or before 1 March following the second qualifying year
4Publisher has not cured within 180 days — by bringing trailing 12-month sales to 10 units or more
